Nestle Launches Real-Life ‘Golden Ticket’ Contest Using GPS Embedded In Candy

Gene Wilder as Willy WonkaTell Grandpa Joe to find his slippers – Nestle has embedded GPS chips in some of their candy bars for a contest.  They promise to track you down if you’re a lucky winner.  The prize is a check for 10,000 British pounds.  For our American readers, we’re sorry but the contest is only running in the United Kingdom.  We’ll see if the real-world results are the same as the book and movies.  Are you a c-store distributor, candy broker or manufacturer?  Check this out after the jump.
