Study: App Developers Prefer iOS, Show Interest In Surface and Windows 8

IDC and Appcelerator conducted the “world’s largest mobile developer study” this August and found that iOS leads the pack in developer interest, with Android in 2nd place and RIM at the very bottom.

Despite their rockin’ plea to developers, RIM continues to scuffle.  Windows 8 tablets are generating more interest than RIM’s mobile platforms right now with the release of the Surface scheduled for this October.

We’re excited to see what the Surface will be able to do and how the business community will respond to it.  We’ll keep our distribution customers posted, via this blog.

What’s your company’s take on the mobile platform debate?  Let us know in the comments.
