ProSel Feature Of The Week: Instant Messaging To Your Entire Sales Team

Three options for sending an instant message to your entire sales team while they’re out in the field:

1. Mass Text

“hey guyz major beef recall don’t sell anymore frozen taquitos, k? thx, sales mgr”

2. Email

“How many of you have smartphones?  Most of you?  Well, the ones that don’t will not get this message.  Recall on beef – don’t sell the frozen taquitos and tell your stores to pull them off the shelves.”

3. Loudspeaker On A Truck, Driving Through Town

“I AM NOT RUNNING FOR OFFICE OR PROTESTING ANYTHING, I JUST HAVE TO WARN YOU ABOUT THE TAQUITOS!”

Those aren’t going to work out so well.  Especially that last one.

How about this: sending an instant message to the iPad that each sales rep is carrying.  It won’t always be something as serious as a food recall, but if there was a recall: think of the time and money you’ll save by not ordering that product, delivering it, and going back out to retrieve it.

You could also send messages about upcoming events like food shows, reminders to aggressively promote a certain line, or anything else that’s critical and can’t wait until tomorrow.  Download the App Store version of ProSel today and give us a call to learn more.
